Sarson Funds Celebrates Women’s History Month: Women in NFTs
The month of March marks the celebration of Women’s History Month, a time to reflect and commemorate the vital role of women throughout history. Celebrating women in history began as National Women’s Day on the last day in February in 1909. One year later in 1910, German delegates who were inspired by National Women’s Day proposed the establishment of an annual “Women’s Day” which eventually became International Women’s Day by 1917. In 1980, President Jimmy Carter made a declaration for it to be a week-long celebration. Finally in 1987 Congress declared the entire month of March Women’s History Month.
Throughout history, women have championed independence, diversity, inclusion, and creativity. The world of NFTs share the same values and provides the inspiration for many women creators, artists, and visionaries to design and build inclusive and diverse communities around NFTs. Many of them can be found in Discord and on Twitter sharing their art.
As Sarson Funds celebrates women for the month of March, here are some NFT projects that we like and support:
Women Tribe
Women Tribe is an NFT collection founded by Izzy, a 22-year-old woman from Portugal. After having to undergo a medical intervention for her heart which required her to be out of work for almost a year, she transitioned from being an independent woman to a nervous person suffering from anxiety and panic attacks. She says that her time away from work was “the worst time of my life.” However, the time enabled her to delve into “crypto and make some money.” She discovered the NFT community and fell in love with it. She was inspired to create the Women Tribe NFT collection, which she dedicates to women around the world.
Her mission and ultimate goal to help “women and all people embrace their inner divinity and power” developed into a vision to establish the Women Tribe Scholarship Program. The program is a scholarship fund to help women in need attend a college of their choice. A portion of their primary sales will be donated to OutRight International’s EmpowerHER program. The team plans on announcing a second charity soon.

Crypto Chicks
Another collection that we love at Sarson Funds is Crypto Chicks. The NFT collection was created to celebrate the importance and unique diversity of women around the world. There are 10,000 NFTs containing various rare attributes. The collection supports various woman empowerment charities through donations to women empowerment groups by highlighting a chosen woman NFT artist in their Women Artist Spotlight Series blog and through partnering will well-known brands looking to enter the Metaverse.
Crypto Chicks is still new, and their project plan is developing rapidly. The team believes in transparency and provides continuous updates through their website, Discord, Twitter, Medium blog, Instagram, and TikTok.
NFT Community
Many women creators and artists join together to celebrate each other, their visions, and their accomplishments through NFT community spaces on Twitter and Discord, though most groups are women led and women focused, in keeping with the open-minded, diverse, and inclusive nature of NFTs and women in history, men are also included and welcomed. The only thing required is a desire to help each other through positivity and encouragement.
